At times we make mistakes and we have to own it.
We have to admit we made a mistake and as a result something either didn't go as planned or went bad.
Today, we are looking at Nevaeh getting the H1N1 vaccine.
As parents we have to look at the vaccine and weigh all the options good or bad.
After looking at all those options we have to decide.
We have to own it, and say it was our decision no matter what happens from it.
It is our choice and no one else's.
We have to make the best decision based on us and no one else.
Besides the swine flu there are a lot of times we have to step up and own what we do.
If you have sex and do not use protection, there is a chance you could get pregnant.
If you decide to become a Lions fan, you subject yourself to years of being made fun of and utter disappointment in your team.
If you decide to be a Yankees fan, you have decided to be a sellout.
Jesus went before Pilate, and Pilate couldn't be convinced that Jesus was guilty.
His wife told him don't have anything to do with Jesus because of a dream she had.
Pilate wanted Jesus to go free, and gave the people the choice between a bad person in Barabbas and Jesus.
The people got to choose which one would go free.
They choose Barabbas.
Then they wanted Jesus crucified.
Pilate responded in Matthew 27:24…
"When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility."
The people owned it in the next verse…
"All the people answered, "Let his blood be on us and on our children!"
The people owned it and Pilate wouldn't.
We have to own the decisions we make.
How do you make those opinions?
Do you pray?
Do you look for wise counsel?
Or do you type a word in google and see what 14,000 people with no degree or understanding say?
We have to own what happens.
Are you willing to own it?
Either way you have to live with the results.
This is whether in life or spiritually.
Make sure you make a wise decision.
Have a great day.
