Easier to tear down compared to building up

It doesn’t take much effort to tear someone down. You look at the faults of others and attack. This is a lot of how some society is. It is easier to tear someone down rather than lift them up.
We sometimes choose to hurt people rather than encourage. Yet Paul did the opposite of this. The majority of his books always had an encouraging ending to people. In Colossians 4:7-18 he chose to encourage several different people. This is verse 7-8…
“Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and a fellow servant in the Lord. I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts.”
Paul mentions several people and says nothing but encouraging things about these people. Even when he was jailed Paul tried to encourage others. What a great reminder of how we are to treat other people. We need to choose encouragement.
Who do you need to encourage today? How can you lift up someone today?
Have a great day.
