What a hard thing to do.
Have you ever met one of those people that always have a positive attitude?
No matter when you are around them you just feel lifted up.
One that I think of is Terry Strickler.
Terry is great, anytime you see him you are lifted up.
You could have had the worst day in the world, just seeing Terry could lift you up.
Why do we (I) struggle to do this at times?
Is it that hard to lift people up?
I times I am good with it, but other times I fall short.
Yesterday, I made the commitment to try and not rip anyone down.
I think I did a decent job at it, but it wasn't easy.
Yesterday, we took the family to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
Talk about the wrong day to do this!
It was not an easy task.
Two kids running all over the place, while we are waiting in line and we forgot one sheet we needed.
I was able to maintain being cool, but it wasn't easy.
At times it was downright frustrating for Hailee and I.
By the end the kids are crying, we are frustrated and ready to be out of there.
What a fun challenge.
After talking about some of the bad stuff that happens, God is once again patient and forgiving with the people.
Zephaniah 3:9…
"Then will I purify the lips of the
Peoples,
That all of them may call on the
Name of the Lord
And serve him shoulder to
Shoulder."
Just like God can purify the lips back then, he can purify them today.
It still takes effort on our part.
God comes through for us in ways we never imagine.
While just like going to the DMV wasn't easy.
When we are thinking of God while we are out, somehow our actions can be different.
Have a wonderful weekend.
