So much focus is often put around us, that we become confused with why we are alive.
Our priorities and reasons why we do what we do become skewed.
We often focus on small things with little value rather than an overall picture.
This would be like going to work with no intention of working hard and just collecting a paycheck.
While some are stuck in a job they don't like with bosses they could care less for, there is a purpose for you working there.
It could be to know your co-workers better or to learn about patience and servant hood.
Things change when you're a Christian you have a different outlook because your view goes beyond this life.
The people during the prophet Haggai's time were focused on themselves.
They were focused on their own things and life rather than God's.
Haggai chapter 1 verses 5-6…
"Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You wear, but never have enough. You drink, but never have you fill. You put on clothes but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it."
This chapter mostly deals with people focusing on building their own house while God's house (The Temple) laid in ruin.
There has to be a purpose for everything, even when we cannot grasp it.
There is a purpose for working where you are or going to school where were we do.
Have you found your purpose?
Have a great day.
