Duck, Duck, Duck…GOOSE

Kids games are so much fun.

Nevaeh is just now playing Duck, Duck, Goose.

It's fun when you can do little games like this with your kids.

The point of the game is to go around in a circle with people sitting down, you say Duck and tap someone on the head.

Then you say Goose and after tapping that person on the head you run and try not to get caught by that person before you sit down in there spot..

The question when you're the one doing the game is who do you choose?

Is there a process towards picking one person?

For me, it was either I think I could beat them or I wanted to see how fast I really was.

Zechariah 7 brings up a different choice that should be for everyone in verse 9…

"This is what the Lord Almighty says: Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another."

With duck, duck, goose, you chose the one person you can pick.

Often we do the same with mercy and compassion.

We choose who we want to show it too.

The people in chapter 7 were fasting for all the wrong reasons.

God told them through Zechariah, showing mercy and compassion were more important.

We often show mercy and compassion to the people we choose.

God says to one another.

The people we like and the people we dislike.

Everyone.

How would people change if we did this?

It wouldn't happen overnight, but what if?

Change the world one at a time, change people's perspective of you one at a time.

Would that make the world a better place?

Have a great day.
