What do you tell a woman with two black eyes?

A: Nothing you already told her twice.

Q: Why do women not need a watch?

A: There's a clock on the stove.

For women:

Q: What's the difference between men and puppies?

A: Puppies grow up.

Q: What did God say after he created man?

A: I can do better than this, then he created woman.

Not what you are used to seeing?

If this threw you for a loop, so did the scripture I read today.

Zechariah chapter 5 verses 7-8…

"Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! He said, "This is wickedness," and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth."

First thought: What the….

Not what I thought I would read today.

I had no clue what was the significance.

I went to my resources to find other translations and the Hebrew root of the word.

Most of the searches just found that the women was a feminine word.

The IVP commentary went into the fact it was just a figurine (I don't know if I spelled that right).

Basically it was saying that the wickedness was put into the basket and taken to a place it would belong.

They used a woman to signify this, but it was two women with wings that lifted her up and took her over to Babylon.

It threw me for a loop.

This wasn't to downgrade men or women.

I don't really have a point to today other then the fact, there are still some things I have no clue on.

Maybe you could help give me some perspective on this text.

Have a great day.
