This is pure snow!

"Do you know what the street value of this mountain is?"

Major kudos if you can tell me the movie this came from.

There is just something about being pure.

Where you can tell there is no hidden agenda.

No one thinks your brownnosing; they think you are doing good, to do good.

After 11 days away, my family came home on Monday.

My kids ran up to me and yelled, "Daddy!"

Nevaeh came up and said "I miss you so much."

She did this with a beautiful smile and with a hug.

There was something behind that.

You can tell what she did and said was authentic, loving and real.

Nevaeh was pure.

We have to cherish these moments because soon she will want nothing to do with us.

She will have a hidden agenda (Maybe not always, but I can guarantee sometimes) where the only reason she might come up to us is because she wants something.

I hope not, I hope she always remains this pure.

But I know there is also that other side that could happen.

There is something about being pure, just like a child.

Jesus mentions this in Matthew 5 verse 8…

"Blessed are the pure in heart,

For they will see God."

This is one of the Beatitudes, Jesus talks about.

The pure will see God.

The sad thing, the more we live the more we become impure.

We make mistakes and think at times we are damaged goods.

We have our own hidden agenda for why we do what we do.

We struggle with things that bring us closer to God and chose to do things that pull us further away.

Being a Christian is about trying to become more pure.

At one point or another we lose our pureness, we try to bring it back.

Jesus wants to see us pure in heart so we will see his ways.

This requires us to release the baggage we carry.

Some baggage could be our possessions, others could be what's on the inside.

We all have different baggage that causes us to be impure.

Today could be the day that we change things around.

We let go of our hidden agendas and become pure like we never were before.

Sometimes this requires us to seek help in our lives.

Hailee and I are trying to do that with our finances by going through Financial Peace University.

It's one area where we are full of holes, yet we try to improve on this.

Try to become more pure with our wealth that God has blessed us in.

How about you?

What's keeping you from becoming more pure?

Jesus wants us to be pure in heart, just like we were at Nevaeh's age.

Have a great day.
