I’m not a doctor nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

I enjoy the Holiday Inn Express commercials.

You think the person knows a lot, but it's only because they stayed at a holiday inn express.

It's a good night's sleep and you wake up believing you can do things others can't.

There is nothing like a good night's sleep.

This is something that is hard to enjoy until you have kids.

Not saying you can't have good sleep before you have kids, but after you have kids you appreciate sleep.

Having three kids now is a challenge when it comes to sleep.

They don't always sleep that great.

Ty was amazing last night, we laid him down at midnight and he slept til about 5:30.

This is an amazing length!

The night before was around four hours.

Last night was a little different.

Connor didn't sleep great.

He had trouble going to bed and after going to bed had an accident in his pants.

Then a couple of times in the night kept calling out for mommy.

He didn't want anything and was honestly tired, but couldn't fall asleep.

So even though Ty slept a good amount, Hailee did not because during Ty's sleep, Connor was up for an hour.

Not the easiest thing in the world.

Lack of sleep is never a fun thing.

Having a newborn puts you on their schedule not ours. The first couple of months is trying to get them from their sleep pattern to ours. By the time that happens, it's time for the teeth to come in and you start all over.

Being a parent is not easy when you want sleep.

This week we have Hailee's mom Sandee to help us out. Starting Friday it's going to be a different world.

This is why I am trying to get more work done now so I can have more time at home later.

Rest is a good thing.

We don't always get good sleep due to a tragic event in our life, being swamped with school work or work, having to practice all the time to name a few.

This is something interesting about Jesus.

He provides rest.

Matthew 11:28…

"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

To follow the old way of faith, there were a lot of rules and regulations the religious leaders put on their followers.

Jesus makes it easier to follow, he simplifies it.

No matter how burdensome the faith was, Jesus makes it easier.

Sometimes in life we hit rock bottom, when nothing is going right.

The economy is affecting everyone (just one example).

Even during a bad economy, Jesus is there for us.

He is always there for us when we think no one is.

No matter how out of it you are, or how much stress you have in your life, Jesus is there.

Take relief in that.

Have a great day.
