My mind is wandering.
We will see how this turns out.
Some of peoples most revealing times is finally confessing to doing something wrong.
Usually this wouldn't be a big deal until a person buries this and it should snowballs out of control.
Have you ever experienced this before?
I know I have.
There are times when we finally have to clean out our closets sometimes and get to things we have buried away.
When I think confession, I usually think something bad is about to take place.
Confession isn't always a bad thing, but we often try to cover it up.
In the movie Overboard Dean had a confession to Annie.
He had a real confession but instead told her they forgot her birthday and they were going out and had a great night.
Once she found out she was, Annie was shocked.
Jesus once asked his disciple who they thought he was.
This is Peter's response in chapter 16 verse 16….
"Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ the Son of the living God."
Jesus praised Peter and told him he was blessed as a result.
Confession isn't always a bad thing.
This is part of the beauty of coming forward in front of other people to confess your faith, your belief in Jesus.
Confession isn't easy otherwise everyone would do it.
If you have a good work relationship with people then they ask are you a Christian?
You have a choice, Christians have a ton of bad stereotypes and it would be easier to say no so you still could have that great relationship.
If you tell them yes, it completely changes and they might shut off from you.
The disciples of Jesus suffered great deaths because they wouldn't stop confessing Jesus was the Son of God.
Would we be willing to do the same?
Confession is always hard, whether a good or bad confession, it changes people's view of us.
We are not the person people saw before.
Whether good or bad we have changed.
While there is great difficulty in confession, we truly find how strong a person's spirit is when confessing.
What do you think?
Have a great day.
