Spit on you

There is a scene from the movie Braveheart is playing in my mind.

It was near the end of the movie when they challenge the English army.

Wallace in right in the middle of the fight when waves a flag for the horsemen to act and join the battle.

Instead he sees them turn around and leave.

They stepped away from the fight so that they could have more land.

Wallace and the army fighting were left to die.

As a leader, he was alone, left to face the British army.

Sometimes we are left alone and have to handle bad situations on our own.

Nothing was worse then what Jesus faced.

He was left in front of the council with Jewish leaders having people come up and give false testimonies (Lying) about him.

Yet they could prove a point.

Finally someone said Jesus said he was going to destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days.

After that they asked if he was the Son of God, he said yes and explained a little more.

The chief priest called out blasphemy!

The crowd called out he is worthy of death!

Then they acted on it in Matthew 26:67-68…

"Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him and said, "Prophesy to us, Christ. Who hit you?"

They were finally able to attack Jesus, he was all alone to face what they threw at him.

They couldn't find any reason to sentence him to death for so long, now they got him.

They wanted him dead and there was nothing to stop this from happening.

They already started to beat him up and make fun of him say prophesy to us, who hit you?

The pain is just going to get worse and worse for this man.

He was betrayed by Judas, the only disciple still around is a hiding Peter.

He faced this for us.

For the mistakes and sins we make.

He did nothing wrong and is starting to go through extreme pain for us.

How does that make you feel?

Someone is going through immense pain so you can live?

So you can have choice to believe or not to believe.

To live your life for him or to fall away from him>

Jesus is about to go through more pain.

He did this for you?

How does that make you feel?

Do you live your life any different?

What do you think?

Have a great day.
