Why Darko Milicic?

Watching Connor grow up can be funny.

The more he learns the funnier he gets.

When you ask him a question, he usually has a puzzling look.

For instance go up to Connor and ask what type of cereal he likes?

Connor might respond by putting his finger on his chin and looking up towards the sky and repeat the question.

Connor learned how to contemplate.

It's funny to watch.

Yet there are some things he doesn't understand and gets frustrated.

He doesn't understand why we hold liquids back from him when it's a half an hour from his bed time.

The past month he has a new phrase for when we do this or something that makes him mad.

Connor with a mean look says, "You are naughty!"

He gets mad, frustrated and doesn't know what else to say.

There are things he understands and things he doesn't understand.

We are still like this.

There are things we understand and things we don't understand.

There is a government health plan and I see commercials for and against it but honestly I have no idea about it.

There are things we get confused about…

  • Why the Pistons drafted Darko Milicic?
  • Why the schools close down here after an inch of snow?
  • Why they are talking about making a Shrek 4?

There are plenty of things we don't understand.

Christianity is often right up there.

There is a lot people don't understand in their faith.

Does it mean we can't be a Christian because we don't understand everything?

I used to think there was a lot I needed to know before becoming a Christian.

I learned that is it's always about knowing everything.

Jesus shared the story of a mustard seed being like the kingdom of God.

How it started small and grew big.

He goes on and explains more and it's summarized in Mark 4:33…

"With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand."

There is only a certain amount of things we can comprehend.

Some people can understand more than others can understand.

We all have different area's that we comprehend.

With Christianity I had to learn that I didn't have to know everything to believe.

There are certain core areas of faith you have to know, but so much of faith is not having all the answers.

We will never have all the answers, if we always wait to do something until we know the results, there is a lot we won't ever do.

What do you think?

Connor doesn't understand everything, but he continues to learn?

What do you need to learn to be a better person?

What do you need to continue to do to grow in faith?

Have a great day.
