Good reply

Sometimes we say thing that are a little bit off.

We try to say something and it just doesn't come out right.

I remember watching ESPN for the NFL draft.

Their main draft person is a guy named Mel Kiper.

He's been doing the job for a long time now.

Once every while ESPN will do a draft in review, the review consists of all the picks that Mel Kiper was wrong on.

He often will have lines like, "This player can start at the Pro Bowl as a rookie."

Or "This player will be a 15 year starter in the league."

Usually they show these highlights with players that were complete bust.

They then show Mel Kiper and he says something along the lines of, after doing this so long, you can't be right about every player.

Kiper has been doing his job for a long time and he's not perfect.

I thought it was a great response.

Sometimes a good response can make up for a bad statement.

Or save you when things don't go as planned.

Jesus wanted a break and tried to go to Tyre, a place known for being out away from everything and among the Gentiles.

People still sought him out in this distance region including a woman who's daughter was possessed by an evil spirit.

In a gentile land, Jesus did not expect anyone to really have faith in him.

When she first asked Jesus told her you wouldn't take a child's bread and throw it to the dogs.

Basically saying, his main focus was on the Jews and people with faith in him and he wasn't going to waste it on someone with no faith.

This was her response in Mark 7:28…

"Yes, Lord," she replied, "but even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."

Jesus was amazed at her response and healed the daughter.

It was a good reply.

Basically, by saying she might not be as worthy as others, but she is still thankful for what Jesus could do.

She had faith.

Jesus main focus in ministry was to teach and lead, his main focus was to put the disciples out to reach out to the Gentiles.

Yet this woman had a great response.

A good reply can mean so much.

We all make mistakes and say things we don't really mean sometimes.

Sometimes we don't mean the words to come out of our mouths.

A good reply can make up for things that we say or for people that instantly write us off.

What is a good reply you need to have?

We all make mistakes or people think of ourselves as lower then we are.

A good response can make up for this.

This women had a great reply.

Think about the good replies you can have today.

Have a great day.
