Stumped

In school, it's sometimes easy to be stumped.

In life, it can happen too.

We all have times in our life where we are stumped.

When we have no clue how to respond.

In life, this happens more then we think.

Here are some of the times when we are stumped…

• When our wife/girlfriend ask does this outfit make me look fat?
  
• When our wife/girlfriend ask if I was dead, which one of my friends would you date?
  
• When we are in the middle of fixing a car only to find out you need a special tool to fix it and you are halfway through.
  
• When we go to buy something and find out we left our wallets at home.
  
• When you hear your wife/girlfriend or significant other is pregnant.
  

These are a few, but what are some stumped moments you can come up with?

There are times in our lives when we stumped.

Some are tricky questions, some are just hard responses.

This happens in life.

Jesus did this to people to see how they would respond.

The religious leaders at the time where look at how they could stump Jesus in front of the people.

They asked what authority did he do his deeds by.

He responded with a question for them.

John's baptism was it from heaven or was it from men?

Now they were in the middle of a rock and a hard place as we see from Mark 11:31-33…

"They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, From heaven, he will ask, "Then why didn't you believe him? But if we say, from men…(They feared the people, for everyone held that John really was a prophet.) So they answered Jesus, "We don't know."

Jesus then said I am not going to respond to you, if you can't respond to me.

Stumped.

There are times when we are stumped.

Jesus got the religious leaders here.

There are times when we are stumped in faith too.

We don't have all the answers.

There are questions like…

• How could the Bible be true if it was translated so many times?
  
• The Bible contradicts itself all the time, just look at how Judas died two different ways.
  
• The Bible says you have to be baptized to go to heaven.
  
• The Bible says you are saved by acts of faith, which is true?
  
• Why do so many bad things happen in the world if there was a God?
  
• Why wasn't God there in my bad times?
  

We don't have all the answers about faith, we are not Jesus.

But if people ask us these questions, we can find out if we do not know.

We can be honest and say, "I don't know, but we can find out together."

There are things that stump us.

That we have no clue on.

Yet there are answers if we look for them.
