Power

I'm sick with a head cold and I don't know if this will make any sense.

That Apollo Ono commerical where he takes the medicine and it show him ripping off his outshirt and ready to go after having a head cold.

It doesn't work like that.

It ends up you could still feel awful.

An advertisement doesn't work like it shows, big surprise I know.

There isn't the power in the commerical.

There is power in prayer.

Jesus talk to his disciples and tells them this in Mark 11:24-25…

"Therefore I tell you, whaterver you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

God, I want this head cold to be gone…

It's not happening…

Still not happening…

Hmmmmmmm.

Some reason why it doesn't work on our timing but on God's.

Prayer is very powerful, but there are things we assume about prayer that aren't true.

Just because we pray for it, doesn't mean it's going to happen.

If prayer worked like that, Bruce Almighty had a clip on this.

Almost three quarters of Buffalo won the lotto.

There team won the Stanely Cup and choas was created.

I think one of the most interesting things about this passage, you can't hold a grudge and expect prayers to be answered.

Talk about putting the nail in the coffin.

We have to forgive to be forgiven.

Ouch, that means the neighbor we don't get along with, the sibling we don't talk to anymore and the spouse that it was their fault for the divorce, we have to forgive?

I'm out is often the first response.

We can't expect to get what we aren't will to give.

There is power in prayer, while it doesn't work like we think, it works the way God wants it too.

There is power in prayer, and there is answered prayers when we forgive.

What do you think?

Have a great day.
