Gone fishin

I remember saying like my titles in a movie or a TV show.

Someone would come up to someone's house or place of work and see this hanging from the door or desk.

Sometimes it would be a sign that says, "Dear Gas Man…" (Guess the movie?)

The person would usually be disappointed.

It's weird how that plays out sometimes.

I have been gone writing from this for a couple of days now.

It's one of those things where it's just been a crazy time.

I don't leave this on purpose and my goal is to write everyday, but busyness gets me sometimes.

The last one I wrote I didn't even post which makes it even longer.

Sometimes we get so busy that we miss out on some of the things we normally do.

Ever happened to you?

Have you ever tried to track someone down only to find out their not there, just like the gone fishin sign but in a more practical way?

Jesus died a couple of days ago.

Three women went to go put spices on Jesus body.

When they approached the tomb with the huge rock in front of it from a distance, they could see it was opened.

Why would it be opened?

They got up to the tomb and there was one person dressed in white.

He told them Jesus was risen! Go tell the others.

This was their response in Mark 16:8…

"Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid."

They were freaking out, just like Peter did at the transfiguration in chapter 9.

On top of that, they were women and in that time the witness would have to be a man.

They were scared fled from it and didn't speak to anyone.

They were amazed.

It stinks that a women's word didn't matter that much then, but that is the way it was.

It was even more amazing that they were so shocked.

Jesus went through with his plan, he came back.

He died a horriable death for us and now is back.

Through that comeback we have faith.

How does that make you feel that it all happened for you?

Have a great day.
