The countdown at the end of the game is often priceless.
When you see the clock tick down especially during a huge game you just get excited.
3, 2, 1…..then a loud band or seeing the clock hit zero.
It's great to see your team on top when this happens.
I have experienced this personally playing in a sport and watching my team play.
It's a great feeling.
You jump for joy when you see your team win.
This isn't just isn't in sports, it's in life when we get excited.
We jump for joy when…
- We get our report card and we did great in school.
- We found out we are graduating.
- We beat a game we were trying to beat.
- We get recognized for doing something great.
What else do we jump for joy in?
It's great to have that gladness.
We can always look back and remember those times.
When Mary found out she was pregnant she went to Elizabeth (Elizabeth is the elderly lady that found out she was going to have a baby in her old age) house.
This is what happened when Mary greeted Elizabeth in Luke 1:41-42…
"When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!"
I have never been pregnant and therefore have never had that leaping sensation.
I couldn't imagine how big of a leap that would have been for them to mention this.
It would have been pretty significant.
They were excited and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit when this happened.
It was an exciting time and showed the presence of God with this situation.
How often does this happen in faith?
That we are so excited we jump for joy in faith?
We do this on our own, yet sometimes we don't think this could relate to faith.
It's ok to jump for joy in faith, when something exciting happens we can be excited.
What would some of these times be?
What do you think?
How can we do a better job of showing excitement?
What do you think?
We can be excited about our faith just like Elizabeth was excited when she saw Mary.
Have a great day.
