The change inside

I feel a change.

There is a difference within me today.

Not on the outside, but on the inside.

How often do we feel like that?

Where we know there is a change, but other people can't see it.

We look the same and sometimes act the same, but there is a difference.

I have my 10 year high school reunion coming up.

This is going to be a different feeling. I left high school going to be a sports writer and went to school for that.

God changed my plans and now I am a minister.

I still feel like the same person sometimes but different.

Yet when people see me some might see a change, some don't.

I still try to be me and the person God created me to be but in a different way.

Some of my friends might see me in the same retrospect, some won't.

This is how it was for Jesus when he started his ministry.

He was preaching, saving people and healing them.

It was going good, and then he went home.

This is what was said in Luke 4:22…

"All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they asked."

Jesus then goes into a sermon talking about no prophet being accepted in his home town.

This ticked the people off.

They weren't happy to hear this man say this to them.

Some people can't get passed the idea that people change.

I have heard this many times.

Isn't that the same person who did…

You can fill in the blank.

They had trouble seeing Jesus for the person he became and focused on him being the person he was.

We can all change.

We can get out of that person the people thought we were.

Jesus is huge into change and allowing for this to happen.

He took some of the most hated people in society (A tax collector being one of them) and made them a completely different person.

Not everyone will see this right away, but there is a change in us.

We change throughout the years, we gain/lose weight and we gain/lose knowledge.

Sometimes we change to be healthier and sometimes we gain weight.

We can see a weight change but you can't see a change in mind.

In our minds we change, just not everyone can see it right away.

We all change.

We have to accept that.

We don't have to look through the same eyes we had before.

We can change how we look at people.

Just like we change, so can other people.

No matter how far we are away from Christ, he still offers that chance to change.

Even the people back home had trouble seeing Jesus change.

Not everyone will accept this.

But Jesus offers us to opportunity to change.

We do not have to be seen in the same light that we were before.

Jesus offers the change to accept him and change.

Will you take advantage that Jesus gives you the ability to change and to see people change lives?

Have a great day.
