I’ll be the judge of that

Why don't the Lions win more Super Bowls or games?

There can be a list of answers for this.

  • We don't sign or draft people to make our offensive line better.
  • We have had the worst passing defense in the past decade.
  • We sign mediocre players and expect them to be great.

The list can go on and on.

While this is with football we do this with life too.

We talk about people that should and should not have kids or more kids.

We talk about our friends wondering why they always talk about losing weight then see what they eat.

We are a society that likes to talk about other people.

How did this happen?

How did we get so focused on other people hat we forget about our own problems and struggles?

One of the books I read talks about Christians like this," I have heard Christians always say hate the sin, lover the sinner. But it's untrue, Christians are more like hate the sin and hate the sinner."

We get wrapped into a judgmental society.

Jesus talks about this in Luke 6:41-42…

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in someone else's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say; Friend, let me take the speck out of your eye; when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from the other person's eye."

We are so quick to look past our own faults and to someone else's.

Jesus calls us out on this.

It's pretty hard to see when we have something stuck in our eye.

It impairs our vision and usually we can't see or think right when we have something in our eye.

This is what we do constantly with our minds and actions.

We have things that are wrong with us yet we look to the fault of others.

Let today be the day we start to change this.

We all have things that we need to work on.

Some people need to work on getting better with their money, weight, faith, job, school and actions towards other people.

What is one area you need work on in yourself today?

Try to look and see, what you can do to help yourself today?

We all have something that is keeping us from being the people God wants us all to be.

Today is a new day where we can look at not judging people and move to a better life.

We could all say the Lions need to improve and can guess what they need improvement in.

It won't make the Lions any better even if we have our own opinions.

What do you think?

Have a great day.
