The greatest birthday present

My birthday has been pretty fun so far.

Only two things could make it better, disc golf and hockey.

It’s been awesome.

My wife took me out for a special dinner last night and we got to see a movie.

She has done little things here and there to show appreciation for me this past week.

It’s great.

Today she got me Sonic with a huge double cheeseburger, tater tots, ice cream and an orange slushy and brought it to me at work.

There are so many things to be thankful for.

I loved going on to Facebook today and seeing all the birthday wishes from everyone.

It makes me feel loved.

As I am looking at my gifts and how I have so many awesome people in my life, I read a story about a blind beggar in the book of Luke.

The man can’t see but hears commotion.

He asked who was coming and they told him Jesus.

Suddenly he called out to Jesus, “Have mercy on me!”

Jesus asked him what he wanted him to do.

He asked to see, and Jesus told him to receive sight and his faith has healed him.

This is the last verse in the story…

“Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.”

I have never been blind and I could only imagine what it would be like to be like this man….

• An outcast of society

• begging for money

• only one chance to be healed.

Jesus healed him.

He instantly started to praise God, along with the people that saw it.

I have been given some awesome gifts throughout the year.

There is one gift I never think about and take for granted sometimes,

Eternal Life.

God gives this to all of us who have faith in Jesus.

It is the greatest gift I have ever been given and I am so undeserving of it.

I thank everyone who thought of me on my birthday.

If there was one thing I could share with you it would be that you know Jesus.

That you give your life to him and that I would be able to see you in heaven one day.

Jesus gave me a gift I don’t deserve.

He gave that same gift to you.

I am having a great day, I am so blessed to have you in my life and I hope I get to see you in the next life too.

Have a great day.
