In life we are left speechless at times.
Ever hear something and you have no idea how to respond?
A little while ago I had some friends that said a couple of witty comments to me.
I spend a minute trying to think of something to say back to them.
Eventually, I gave up and said, “I got nothing.”
Sometimes in life something happens that leaves us speechless.
Sometimes it’s a good speechless, sometimes it’s the opposite.
This happened when people went to find Jesus laying in his tomb.
This is what happened when the women went to Jesus’s tomb in Luke 24:3-8…
“When they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.”
They were shocked at what they found.
Jesus wasn’t there.
They didn’t know why until these two men showed up.
There are times we understand what’s going on and times we have no clue.
The women that visited Jesus had no clue what was going on.
Then the men appear to them and they remembered.
In life we are left speechless just like these ladies were.
This happens in life.
What has happened that has left you speechless?
Just like this ladies moved on and shared this news with people.
We have to be able to move on.
Whatever event left you speechless, what did you do from there?
It isn’t what makes us speechless that makes our lives but how we respond.
