Life can pass by.
In a blink of an eye life can pass us by.
We are through the day, through the week, through the month and through so many things.
I was meeting with a couple of Church leaders a couple of weeks ago, we were talking about life and things in general.
They mentioned when you are older, you don’t know how much time you miss.
The guys mentioned, you wouldn’t believe how much time you waste when you are younger.
They shared some great knowledge, “I wish I would have spent more time with my kids,” one said.
The other guys nodded his head in approval.
Time flies they said and they are only going to be young once. One went on to talk about how you miss out and there is no way to go back.
If I value my kids, I need to change some things in order to spend more time with them and less time doing meaningless things.
I enjoy getting knowledge from people I respect.
If the guys didn’t believe what they said, they wouldn’t have said it.
Do our actions backup what we say?
John believed that there was one more powerful than him coming.
People wondered if he was the Christ, he kept denying it.
Finally he saw Jesus.
Was he going to backup what he said?
John 1:29-31…
“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel.”
John believed Jesus was coming and it came true.
His actions stood behind what we told people.
Are we people that are going to change and improve or are our words going to speak louder than our actions?
I am going to go play some basketball with my kids.
What are you going to do?
Have a great day.
