Good things can come from bad situations.
Some people think just because they came from bad areas or a messed up family they can’t do anything right in their lives.
Some people think they are products of their past.
Or they think their past controls how far there future could go.
I went to Everett High School, when I lived around Lansing and met people who were learning about me they would ask, “What high school did you go to?”
“Everett,” I would reply.
Usually a long pause and an “Ooohhh…” would be said.
This would happen multiple times.
I thought Everett was a good school.
Some reason why, a lot of people would disagree with me.
They thought the same thing about where Jesus came from.
John 1:46…
“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.”
This was Jesus.
Yet this is what they said about the place Jesus came from.
Jesus shows us, we are not people of our past.
Where we came from doesn’t matter, what matter is where we go.
