It's raining so bad outside, yet it's beautiful.
Even on an ugly day there is so much joy.
I get to the office and take a phone call from Ticia Wright.
She says, "I have two tickets and a parking pass to the MSU-IU game next Tuesday with a parking pass, you interested?"
"YES!"
Ticia said, "Alright I will bring the tickets on Sunday."
I was so excited then so disappointed.
What do I have going on next Tuesday night?
Oops, elders meeting.
Weak.
I had to deal with the fact it's ministry, part of ministry is going to elders meeting, unless I could get out of it.
I call Greg and Chadd, two of the elders, both give me the nod to go to the game.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!
I am so thankful where God has put me!
Hailee and I are looking forward to the game.
Just a little blessing, a nice break.
So often it's easy to get wrapped into everyday life that we don't realize the joys God gives us.
Zechariah chapter 2 goes into this.
A guy was about to leave and measure the city of Jerusalem.
God told Zechariah to stop this man.
Verse 4 explains why…
"…Run, tell that young man, 'Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of men and livestock in it."
The man won't be able to measure how much God is blessing the city.
So often we forget how much God blesses us daily.
Our entire family is sick right now, but we still have so much to be thankful for.
Hailee and I have two healthy kids (Except for the cold and normal sicknesses) and another on the way.
We live in a great city with a great Church family.
We are thankful how God has provided for us daily.
We have a four year old that absolutely is a joy to be around and a two year old that cracks us up daily.
What is one thing that is a daily blessing for you?
Thank God for what he has given us, even the smallest things can be the greatest blessings (Like a Slurpee).
I will enjoy that game next Tuesday, what do you enjoy?
Have a great day.
