Best sale of the year

Sometimes the sale price isn't what it seems.

As another black Friday rolls around, we see prices lower then they have ever been.

It's quite impressive.

I have some amazing deals already.

I have already heard laptops for $300 and Xbox 360 for 199 with a 100 dollar gift card.

What's really amazing is what the stores do the rest of the year.

How many times do you hear something like, "Lowest prices of the year now til Friday?"

There are quarterly sales, bi-annual, early bird specials, night owl specials and whatever else you can think of.

I can't believe it half the time.

One store I like to shop at claims to basically have a new lowest price of the year sale almost weekly.

The marketers are good at tricking people to think there is always a great deal, two words squash almost any sale of the year…

Black Friday.

No matter what a company has going on, black Friday is still the lowest prices of the year.

The rest of the year almost seems meaningless when it comes to prices.

I almost feel ripped off when I buy something on sale then black Friday has them for a lot cheaper.

In a way I feel deceived.

Even after his death, the Pharisees thought they were going to be tricked.

A follower of Jesus asked Pilate and had the body moved to his own tomb.

The Pharisees thought the disciples were going to take the body and hide it to claim he was resurrected.

They went to Pilate and told him how the deceiver (This was the name they had for Jesus) said he would rise again and asked to have his tomb guarded.

As they explained this, this was the last thing they said to Pilate in this section.

Matthew 27:64…

"…The last deception will be worse than the first."

They wanted to make sure Jesus legend didn't live on.

They thought Jesus would trick them.

Deception can be crazy.

So remember this, Jesus is dead, there were multiple witnesses that Jesus went into the tomb.

There was only one way out.

It was heavily guarded.

They think this is the last they will hear of Jesus.

They are wrong as we find out and we will check more of this out tomorrow.

While we might be duped on a sale we aren't with Jesus.

Sales can be tricky, but Jesus and the start of faith is not.

What do you think?

Have a great day.
