A day off

Sometimes it's nice to get a day off.

Today will be a different day.

I will go to Church just to attend rather than have responsibilities.

While I don't include Sunday mornings in my week of work (Mark G had a good outlook on this that he works 40 + hours and Sundays Church is a volunteer thing).

So I do the same.

I think it's a good outlook to have.

We come to Church to worship, this includes leading a ministry or to teach.

We have freedom to do what we what on a day most people consider the Sabbath or their day off.

What do you enjoy doing on your day off?

When religious leaders looked at the Sabbath they created a whole bunch of laws that weren't scriptural, but things they came up with.

Jesus broke more tradition and changed this.

He read about David and what he did on the Sabbath and okayed then told them this in Mark 2 verse 27-28…

"Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

God made Sabbath for man, and the country this was for was his country, Israel.

Other countries did not have the Sabbath or tradition like God gave the Israelites.

Jesus reminded them people need a break and God gave them a day off to celebrate it.

To relax, to chill in basically their own idea's.

Nobody needs rules on what they basically can and can't do on their day off.

What do you think?

What do you like about your day off?

Have a great day.
