Facebook cracks me up sometimes.
I love when you see how one person is into something and a significant other isn't.
For instance, There have been a couple of times I have seen some girls pages in which they profess their love for their boyfriend/spouse and you never see anything like that on the other person's page.
It's like you see this….
Girls' status: I love my Barry so much! You are the reason I wake up in the morning. Can't wait till I get to talk to him later!
Guys (a.k.a. Barry) status: Anybody see that shot last night? It was awesome.
The girl could be so interested in the guy and love him so much and the guy could care more about who's in the Final Four.
I am not saying that the guy could care less about the girl, but that we have different values.
Guys professing their love on Facebook, is not the biggest key.
Sometimes it's because they are a guy and other times it's because the guy could really care less about the girl.
What do you think?
Sometimes we just don't like to claim the other person.
This is what happened in Jesus case.
The people closest to Jesus (the disciples) were told by Jesus you will all fall away.
Peter, one of the closest disciples told Jesus if everyone else does I still will not.
In Mark 14:30, Jesus replies…
"I tell you the truth, today – yes, tonight – before the rooster crows twice you yourself will disown me three times."
Peter was in shock.
He couldn't believe what Jesus told him and again said surely I will not, as did the rest of the disciples.
They couldn't believe this man that they followed closely for the past three years they would do this too.
They saw miracles he performed, they saw the religious leaders he ticked off.
They witnessed people nobody wanted anything to do with Jesus talked too.
Yet they would disown him.
Harsh.
I have heard of people disowning other people and it's a harsh thing.
Some people do it out of intense anger.
Other's do it because there not in love like they used to be or they found someone else to make them happy.
Yet Jesus knew this would happen.
This was in the day, soon it would happen.
It's harsh and there is a lot of guilt with disowning someone.
Hopefully it doesn't have to come to that.
Hopefully things can improve without this happening.
We will see how this plays out with Jesus over the next couple of days.
What do you think about the whole disowning thing?
Is there anyone you went through a hard time with and need to have forgiveness towards?
Have a great day.
