“Someone’s going to get a special blessing from Jesus in this garbage dump of a situation.” Long post

Good can come from a bad situation.

I remember a funny commercial for Diet Pepsi Max.

In the commercial, people kept facing bad situations….

A guy walks into another's golf backswing and gets hit with the club twice.

A bowling ball falls on a guy's head.

A 2x4 slips from the machine and nails a guy in the back.

A guy has an electrical wire in his mouth when his friend accidently hits the power.

The people all get hurt, some pretty bad but they all stand up and say the same thing…

I'm good.

No matter what happens they are good.

Their thinking, men can take anything except the taste of diet cola till now.

No matter how bad of the situation, there was still the same response.

I'm good.

Sometimes it's hard in life to think this.

Through a bad situation something good can happen.

What are you going through that is a rough situation?

In the movie Juno, after the teen Juno tells her step mom she's pregnant, this is one of the lines the step mom says…

"Someone's going to get a special blessing from Jesus in this garbage dump of a situation."

Even through the bad situations there is good that can come.

Jesus' parents had to go to Bethlehem because of the census.

Mary was very pregnant at the time and they went to stay at an Inn.

They didn't have any spots so they stayed around back.

At this time Jesus was born.

It says this in Luke 2:6-7…

"While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."

Jesus was born in a cattle stall and the manager you hear about, it was a trough for the animals.

What good can come from a baby born in a cattle stall and it's bed was where the cattle ate?

This wasn't a good situation, but it was the best thing they could do at the time.

Jesus wasn't born in a magical place.

I couldn't imagine Hailee giving birth to any of our kids in the situation Mary did.

Think about how sanitary that was.

It's sick, Jesus' bed was where cattle ate.

He came from a bad situation, born in a not so ideal place.

Yet it was still good.

Jesus went on to live a perfect life.

He went on to give his life for all of us.

To die for the mistakes we make.

Through our mistakes and bad situations he still comes back and tells us your good.

Our situations can suck right now.

Money, housing, jobs and random things go bad for us.

Yet we are still good.

Jesus came into the world born in a cattle stall and had the bed of a trough.

He was able to come out of that situation and change the world.

He can do the same for us today.

He can change us, take us from those things that are holding us down and take them away.

Jesus lived and died for us.

He was born so we don't have to deal with the pains we have right now.

All we have to do is give them over to him.

It can be something like saying this…

"Jesus, I make mistakes, I am not perfect, I am a sinner. Still, I believe you are the son of God and I accept you as my personal Lord and savior."

By saying this you are giving it to Jesus and turning your back on that sin, those mistakes that are holding you down.

You don't have to live in that bad situation anymore, Jesus just freed you from that when you say this.

After this find a true follower of Jesus and find out what the next step in faith is.

Good can still come out of bad situations, always remember that.

Your garbage dump of a situation can be taken away.

Have a great day.
