Even at our best we are still just a servant.
We are never the highest in the chain of command.
Usually we all have someone to answer to.
Even the head of the chain of command has to answer to someone.
We have so many system's that have a check and balance system.
The President has this and so does everyone below this too.
In our Church we always have the elders.
I still answer to them, if I was the sr. minister I would still answer to the elders.
It's pretty hard to find something that we are the top of the chain of command.
Even without the ultimate power, we can still be happy with our role.
Zechariah was excited when his son was born and sung a song about it.
He was told his son John was going to be the preparer to Jesus.
He will never be greater than Jesus.
This is what Zechariah sung in Luke 1:76…
"And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;
For you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him."
Powerful.
John would be a great prophet but no greater then Jesus.
How would you take that?
Your life is already set for you and what you are going to do with your life?
John was excited for his life and at the end of this section it says he grew strong in the spirit.
He wasn't going to be the greatest yet he could still live a happy life.
We are the same way, we might be able to move up and be great but we will never be the greatest.
How do we live like that?
Can we still be happy?
No matter what in life we have someone to answer too.
This doesn't mean we can't be happy.
We can be happy with whatever is going on in our lives.
It's our choice how we are going to life.
How will you choose to live in your current role?
Have a great day.
