Ever feel like you have to sleep with one eye open?
As a kid I would once every while have a bad dream and it would affect how I slept that night.
When I would wake up I would be more alert then anything.
Sometimes in life I feel like I am pretty alert to what's going on.
Other times I don't.
Often we have to be on watch.
We never know what could happen.
Often times this affects us with our money.
Before doing Dave Ramsey's program, Hailee and I were a mess financially.
We lived paycheck to paycheck and never had enough money to pay off debt.
Our credit card was our emergency.
When something we weren't ready for happened, we had to use our credit card.
We would never be able to pay it off.
Currently we haven't had a credit card for about 18 months.
We are more prepared now than we ever were before.
It's nice to be ready.
For Christians, you might here are you ready for Jesus to come back?
Some are, some aren't.
Jesus tells us this about him coming back in Luke 12:35-36…
"Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him."
Jesus is going to come back one day, do we live our lives worthy enough that he would be happy with our faith?
This is a hard question to reflect on.
Do we feel we are living our lives for the one that we say we live our lives for?
Being prepare, living life full of faith is how Jesus wants us.
We all fall short of this, but when we do, we can experience that truth.
We never know what life could bring.
We could get hurt, lose our jobs, struggle to make ends meet, it's nice to be prepared.
Hailee and I are on the start of getting better financially.
Hopefully one day we will be there.
Money isn't everything and there is so much more that matters.
Are you happy with the life you are leading?
Be prepared for the best and worst of what's ahead.
Have a great day.
