God is unknown to me

If God was real, how could _______ happen?

One of the problems with faith is you don’t always know right away why something happened or how it could be to prevent you from something a lot worse.

For a long time, this really kept me from knowing God.

Dealing with abuse, not really knowing my dad when I needed one, seeing my step dad that became my real dad moving the Nebraska were some of the thoughts that ran through my mind.

Where was God?

If God was real he would have prevented me from having to go through this hurtful time and looking for a father.

It’s just not fair.

I remember family of mine (Cousins, aunts, uncles and distant relatives) that would always say you got the perfect family and not being able to tell them how messed up my family really was.

Where are you God?

My life sucked and I don’t see you stepping in.

Sometimes faith is hard because the answers aren’t right in front of us.
Paul was preaching in Athens.

Athens was a place that had a lot of knowledge and like to debate and hear people talk.

They did this openly and even had a statue to an unknown god.

They brought Paul to hear this message he was proclaiming.

Paul explains the people are very religious but don’t get the point and who God is.

Acts 17:24:25…

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.  And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything.  Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.”

God doesn’t need a fancy church building.

He honestly doesn’t need anything from us.

What we gain from God on the other hand is huge.

Eternal life.

Life that doesn’t end here.

God gives us Jesus and faith in him gives us so much.

Grace, forgiveness, mercy, love, care, a listener, someone to here are problems, someone who wants us to live a great life with purpose.

God is amazing.

It took a while for me to realize this.

God is love.

He gives us love and strength to endure.

When I grew up as a kid, I thought where is God?

When I look back I know he was right there with us.

I am here today writing this because I believe in Jesus.

I believe in faith.

I believe that God forgives every sin.

I am living proof that God forgives and watches over us when we think he does not.

God does not have to be unknown to you.

God loves you, gave up his one and only son for your sins.

Jesus loves you and wants to see you with him in heaven one day.

Heaven is for everyone that believes.

Do you believe?

What’s faith to you?

Do you need to make the next step?

Have a great day.
